Competitive contest will choose the new ambassador of cocktail Aperol Spritz in Cuba

Inversiones Pucara S.A. (IPSA) and the Association of Bartenders de La Habana, will hold a competitive competition at the XXXIX Feria Internacional de La Habana (FIHAV 2023), to be held from 6 to 9 November, in ExpoCuba, to choose the new ambassador of the mythical cocktail Aperol Spritz in Cuba for the next six months.

The IPSA company, in charge of managing and marketing the Campari Group’s brands on the market, reported that given the wide dissemination and popularity achieved worldwide by this cocktail and the acceptance that has had its refreshing and attractive mixture among the most different palates, the contest aims to bring the brand to the community of bartenders on the Island.

In correspondence, referred the proposal sent in exclusive to the magazine Excelencias Gourmet, nourish the successful cocktail with the vast and internationally recognized cultural experience of the bars of the bartenders of the Major of the Antilles.

In this sense, the main objective of the competition is to identify the bartender who will serve as "Ambassador Aperol Spritz" in the Caribbean Island for the next six months with the mission of promoting the values and identity that represent the brand internationally and spread throughout the country the experience of the fabulous cocktail.

According to the organizers, the competitive contest will take place at IPSA’s stand at FIHAV and the selected bartenders will be notified in advance of the days when they must present themselves at the company’s premises on that trade exchange, located in Pavilion No.4 of the fairground.

It meant that as part of the competition, the jury will assess knowledge about the brand and the cocktail, interaction with the audience, communication and diction skills, mixing, tasting and technique, good practice in service, Cleanliness in the execution and simultaneity of tasks, among others.

Also, he said, the projection and development will be analyzed, while the reaction of the bartender to multiple marches, slow march and communication will be measured as part of the good practices of the service.

He also said that the company will guarantee all the basic drinks for the competitive meeting, as well as the necessary glassware for the preparation of cocktails that will serve for the tasting of the audience.

He also pointed out that on Saturday, November 11, the three finalists of the contest will be announced, as well as the popularity prize, for which all participants who submit will be able to vote.

In a second moment, he said, the three selected finalists will have to create a cocktail of free inspiration from a bank of products that the organizers will guarantee and at 2:00 pm the jury will announce the winner, who will serve as cocktail ambassador for the next six months.
